Just to let you know that we have returned from a successful holiday
at Le Pramecou. I hope we left everything in order for the next tenants. It was
great having such good facilities in the apartment, because I could could cook
a decent meal in the evenings and reduce the exposure to the restaurant prices.
Thank you very much for allowing us to rent your apartment! It has been brilliant,
and the most comfortable I have been in 12 years of skiing hols. Without a
doubt i would recommend the apartment. And when i come back to Tignes, i shall
be looking to come here again.
We stayed here in early December 2008, just one week after the lifts opened. Booking to ski that early is always a gamble in case of no snow, but we chose Tignes specifically to avoid that worry. It's so high up that there's snow all year round, even at the height of summer if you glacier ski.
The apartment was in a lovely area and really was ski-in and ski-out; literally to the door. I went with a party of four and the space was fine. Everything is modern, clean and well laid out. No smoking throughout, it all smelt fresh and modern, not old and fusty.
Oodles of hot water, no clanking pipes or hissing cisterns, Looking to book again for this year as we think we would always be critical of other places after this :O)
We booked the ski kit with Ski Republic before we went and then had a choice of two shops to pick them up from, both nearby. Back at the apartment, there is a carpeted and heated ski locker area downstairs to leave poles, skis and snowboards in your own locker (lockable with several keys provided which was good for us as we were in and out at differing times).
Upstairs there's a slatted boot rack/ airer in the hall by the coatracks so that all attire is dry, warm and aired by morning. Balcony is nice, though it needs a tiny hook and latch on outside of door as if you go outside to take in the stillness, silence and stars (at night!), then it keeps opening as there is no handle on the outside to pull it to. You can't get locked out, but you equally can't keep it closed against the draughts.
The kitchenware, plates, pans and cutlery looked like they'd all just come out of the shop and was good solid stuff. The dishwasher was a boon for us too, though I must confess we did eat out a lot of the time. From choice though, not necessity as the kitchen was big enough you could cater for a dozen.
Restaurants abound within two or three mins of the apartment, with a complete choice of culinary styles. Not particularly cheap, but what place ever is in a top quality ski resort village centre?
The only disappointing thing about the apartment and it was a biggy . . .
was having to lock up the place and hand the key back when we left. I was all
for learning to cook and becoming a male chalet maid (is that PC nowadays?)
if it meant I could have stayed there for the rest of the season.
Apartment was very clean, comfortable and suited our requirements very well
– it’s an excellent size for a family. The apartment block is being well maintained
with cleaners in every evening. We will recommend it to others who may be interested
in visiting Tignes.
We just wanted to extend our sincere gratitude to you for sharing your lovely
apartment with us - we've had a fantastic time and would certainly love to
return next year. Do you know of any other apartments within the same block
that are rentable as we thought it would make a great venue for the rest of
our family? Tignes is a fabulous resort with so much amazing skiing.
